Because that is what Telluride is all about.
Lodging In Telluride was founded in 2006 by Tom Almour and Mindy Miller. Tom and Mindy were also managers of the Viking Lodge HOA. They had such great success with short term rentals at their own Viking condo that other owners started asking them to manage their condos too. By 2016, Tom and Mindy had built up a portfolio of 20 condos at the Viking Lodge, Cimarron Lodge, Telluride Lodge and the Mountainside Inn. At the end of 2016, the couple decided it was time to head back to family in Arizona, and sold the company to Georgie Bishop. Georgie had been working for Tom and Mindy for 3 years and was thrilled to have the opportunity to own her own business.
Our team at Lodging In Telluride looks forward to hosting you!
Georgie Bishop – Owner
Hello, I am Georgie, owner of Lodging In Telluride. Originally from Australia, I made the move to Telluride in 2007. Just like most people that live here, I only intended to stay for a ski season but ended up staying. Ten years later, I’m still here and just as in love with Telluride as the day I came! I now call the box canyon home with my husband & 2 young kids. What I love most about Telluride is its the wonderful community, and the insane natural beauty that surrounds us.
Natalie Watenpaugh – Reservations
Natalie was born and raised in Telluride and recently returned home after leaving for six years to study and travel, which lead her to circumnavigate the world twice by the age of 25. Natalie is a part of the reservations team here at Lodging In Telluride and is here to ensure that you feel informed, excited and well taken care of prior to your stay in beautiful Telluride. When Natalie is not working she can be found looking up plane tickets, practicing yoga, or exploring the majestic mountains of her hometown with her husband, daughter, and their husky. Kristen Craine – Operations
After living all over the U.S. and traveling to more than 20 other countries, Kristen wanted to live in a small Colorado ski town and narrowed it down to three choices. After 30 minutes in Telluride, she committed. Now a Telluride resident for more than 11 years, Kristen keeps day-to-day operations of Lodging In Telluride flowing, ensuring properties are ready for guests & stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kristen is the founder of FiftyFifty Candle Co., a local, hand-crafted candle company. In her off-time she enjoys skiing, mountain biking, road biking, and off-road triathlons.
Fletcher Otwell – Operations
An engineer by trade, and just about done building his own house, Fletcher is more than just your average Mr Fix It. Fletcher is one of those characters who is intrigued by how things work, and often finds a more efficient way of doing things. Fletcher also has extensive experience in property management. We are excited to have Fletcher on board, taking care of our homes in a way that we know no one else can!
Jennifer Laney – Marketing
Jen Laney and her family retreated to Telluride in 2017 to fulfill a dream of living in the mountains away from the suburbs. Over the course of her career, Jen has been many things including an Off-Broadway publicist, a museum marketing manager, and a digital media coordinator for a large arena, and now is the marketing project manager for Lodging In Telluride. Jen was a “theatre kid” and still loves to dance any time she’s given the chance. She loves Telluride’s collective zest for life and all of the passion packed into our tiny box canyon.
