As a Property Inspector at Lodging In Telluride, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our vacation rental properties are maintained to the highest standards for our guests and property owners. This is a field-based, mobile role - you will spend the majority of your day traveling between properties across Telluride and Mountain Village. Your attention to detail, proactive mindset, and pride in your work will directly shape the guest experience and reflect on our brand.
Core Responsibilities
Property Inspections
- Inspect each property after every guest turnover, using established checklists and company standards
- Perform vacancy checks and routine basic inspections between stays
- Verify the property is clean to a high standard, checking for broken or missing items and ensuring all appliances and electronics are functioning
- Confirm all amenities are present and in good working order prior to guest arrival Property Preparation
- Ensure each property is fully guest-ready before check-in - clean, stocked, and professionally staged
- Verify that parking passes, fobs, garage door remotes, HOA-required items, and any gift arrangements are in place and match the correct guest sleep count
- Oversee the final walkthrough to confirm everything meets LIT standards before the next guest arrives
- Inspect properties following any outside vendor work to confirm standards have been met
- Perform light maintenance tasks including changing batteries, light bulbs, air filters, and resetting routers Identify and document larger maintenance issues; communicate promptly to the Operations Manager or appropriate maintenance personnel
- Track all open maintenance items and follow up to ensure timely resolution
- Evaluate cleaning quality against company standards on every inspection
- If cleaning does not meet requirements, contact the property manager to arrange a go-back clean
- Work closely with housekeeping teams to ensure seamless property turnovers
- Monitor and maintain property inventory - linens, toiletries, batteries, light bulbs, remote controls, dishes, utensils, small appliances, and more
- Restock supplies to appropriate levels relative to maximum guest occupancy
- Report outdated or depleted items to the Operations Manager for replacement
- Conduct routine inventory checks across all assigned properties
- Deliver needed items to guests during their stay to ensure comfort and satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, maintenance requests, and inventory levels
- Communicate effectively with the operations team, reservations team, and vendors
- Other duties as assigned
