The timing of your visit is critical. While we are certainly here to welcome you year-round, the seasons do tend to dictate your adventures and the activities available. If you’re not sure which season will suit you best, or if you’re considering trying a whole new approach to vacationing in Telluride, we can offer some local insight on what to expect throughout the year. Of course, winter is when we shine, but there’s more to this town than skiing! Ice skating, anyone? Or head indoors to the Telluride Historical Museum! We make for a pretty impressive Christmas getaway, too!

Checking items off the list while strolling the boutique shops of Main Street in Downtown Telluride? Yes, please! As winter starts to fade, spring brings an appeal of its own – and if your timing is just right, you can catch a taste of both seasons in transition! Fall is a beautiful time in the mountains, as a spectrum of autumn hues spread across the valley and slopes.

Telluride is a fantastic destination for summer vacation with the family, when festival season is at its peak and outdoor activity reigns supreme. Event central tends to be focused at Telluride Town Park, so aim to stay nearby to take full advantage of community culture and festivities.
